Why are our FR5 defect examples missing the actual faceplates?

I inherited an FR5 cosmetic-inspection trial folder. The labelled images show changing bright lines, but the faceplates went back into stock. Nobody can identify them now. Should we retire those labels and build a smaller confirmed set before further threshold work?
