The delivered adapter moves our FR5 gripper forward

Our plastic-sample trial used a short gripper adapter, but the delivered FR5 package has a visibly deeper one. The seller calls it equivalent without showing our tray transfers with it. I've kept the tooling unfitted while asking for a dimensioned comparison and an explanation of the change. Anyone dealt with an adapter substitution that affected the whole tool position?
