Our faceplate keeps its scratch while the bright stripe moves away

Quality confirmed the faint scratch is a reject. The bright stripe isn't that scratch. I've removed the old arrow, not changed the part to accepted.

Good distinction. Do you also have an accepted faceplate with a strong reflection? If the set contains only this reject, a quieter image can look like progress even when it hides the thing you're trying to find.

Keep the presentation conditions with both. I would want to know which holder and lighting produced each capture before comparing the stripe positions.

Mia, yes, quality supplied an accepted bright example. Ella, the two old captures used different holder spacers, which weren't identified in the lesson. Tooling is checking the intended presentation before we compare lighting.

Can the loader distinguish those spacers during setup?

Lin's question is a good one. I've seen the correct piece selected from a drawing and the wrong near-twin taken from a drawer. Identifying the trial setup isn't much help if nobody can reproduce it.

The repeat comparison used the intended holder with both quality samples. The faint reject is visible in the selected lighting candidate and the accepted reflection stays in the working set. Wider sample checks still to do; the lesson's mistaken scratch label is fixed.

Useful result. Keep the candidate's setup details with the complete captures, so the wider comparison starts from something the next person can actually reproduce.
