Our FR5 polymer-blank sketch omits the rear tool connection

The revised FR5 access sketch includes the gripper body but ends before its rear connection, directly beside the open mill door; I cannot accept the proposed base position while that space remains imaginary.

Has the tool supplier actually chosen the connection arrangement? If not, I'd ask them to define the candidates before somebody buys a stand around whichever empty space happens to look nicest.

Two connection arrangements are offered, but only the fingers and body are modelled; the supplier says the rear detail can be settled during installation.

What would installation do if neither rear arrangement clears the door? That sounds like an unresolved design choice being passed to whoever turns up with the tools.

It would require changing either the tool arrangement or the base position, Sam; neither possibility is priced in the installation line.

Then ask for both complete alternatives assessed at that position. Include the held polymer blank, not just the empty tool.

Is the open door survey complete, including its handle?

Luis, agreed. And Daniel, I'd want them to say what decision the assessment delivers. A pair of prettier drawings isn't much return if you still can't decide whether to buy the stand.

Zara, the door and handle are measured; Harish, the requested decision is whether either complete tool can perform the intended exchange from this position, with the remaining limitations named.

Will the setter see the same alternatives? The arm may be happy in a space someone normally uses to change the fixture.

Sam, and tool removal for maintenance. A connection that fits once may still need room to come apart later.

Setter and maintenance are included; the tool supplier has now sent both rear assemblies, one extending sideways and one rearwards, with no route result yet.

Do both assessments use the same grip depth on the blank? Otherwise you may be comparing two connections and two different jobs without meaning to.

Yes, the same held-blank position; the integrator has identified the rearwards arrangement as conflicting with the surveyed door during withdrawal, while the sideways option remains under review.

Has the sideways option survived the setter's check yet?

The setter found no conflict with fixture removal in the proposed sideways arrangement, but maintenance has not finished its connection-access check.

Thanks for returning with that distinction. I'd leave the stand decision open until the remaining check comes back, rather than making maintenance negotiate around a paid-for position.

And has installation's price been revised for the defined sideways assembly, Daniel? Now there is something real to price instead of settle on arrival.
