Yes, and save what has already been changed. We once had a very convincing discussion about a moving tray because everyone remembered the good days differently. The operator who had kept an untouched sample gave us something useful to compare. I don't mean assume your parts are wrong, just include them alongside the fingers and tray. Does the housing sit crooked before the fingers reach it, or does it turn as they close?

How many pickup nudges before we inspect the housing?

Compare with a retained housing from a reliable run if you have one. Less expensive than buying fingers because they look tired.
16分Which way does it first tip, Victor? Before lifting or after?
15分During closing, before lift. Retained old housing available. Tray location has been checked, not just eyeballed.
22分We found an incoming edge defect under a contact face once. Quality should look at the actual gripping areas on the old and current housings, not only their overall size
22分And keep those edits identifiable. Don't roll everything back just because an old sample behaves better.
10分Omar's contact areas matter. A housing can pass the feature someone happened to measure and still have flash where a finger lands. Ask quality to inspect that corner against the actual requirement, not declare the whole delivery bad from one awkward pickup.
21分Could the old and current samples be compared in the same static tooling check first? That would avoid changing several settings just to see a difference.
4分Our remembered good sample had been filed by someone during setup, which took an embarrassingly long time to emerge, so I'd ask where the retained one came from before making it the model citizen
12分Get the finding before ordering replacements. A proposed finger purchase should name what is worn or unsuitable, otherwise purchasing gets to fund the guessing.
21分Group the observations by incoming lot as well as by day. If the trouble follows a delivery, that gives quality a manageable set to inspect instead of asking everyone to remember the last good shift.
19分Quality found flash at one gripping corner on several current-lot housings. Old sample unmodified and clear there.
20分That's something tangible. I'd still let maintenance finish the contact and mounting checks; you could have a part problem and a worn tool, especially after everybody has been compensating for it.
10分And teach the visible incoming defect if it belongs in the loader's check. Not asking them to decide a marginal dimension by eye, I mean showing when to stop and call quality instead of handing down another private offset trick.
12分Affected lot held. Quality supplied conforming samples; maintenance found no tooling defect. Programmer reviewing the accumulated edits before return.
20分Sara, no new fingers required on that finding. Thanks for keeping the purchase question separate.
14分Victor, make the incoming decision usable for the next shift too. Identified held stock and an agreed example of what needs referring, rather than a rumour that the new housings are dodgy.
20分Return checks passed with conforming housings and reviewed job. Held lot separated, shift lead briefed. No more compensating nudges.
