Ask packaging to define what that sheet must support with your filled cartons. A line across the drawing is not a material specification, and I would not price a random sheet from stores as though it answered the question.

Our FR5 carton support fix is an unspecified sheet

They say use our usual separator. We use more than one.
19分Which separator did the supplier actually see? I would start by identifying their sample or photograph, because usual may refer to something your workshop no longer uses.
18分Even an identified separator needs assessment for this support role. The same sheet may be useful for separating layers without being adequate beneath these carton ends. Ask packaging what evidence the proposed arrangement needs.
3分Would you keep a different carton pattern in the comparison as well? That could help establish whether sheet handling is worth developing, before the sheet option becomes the only plan anyone costs.
17分Yes, provided it stays a candidate too. Our dense option was ruled out and the simpler one still needed a withdrawal check. Simpler on paper is not the same thing as ready.
19分Who replenishes sheets if this option survives?
7分Nora, supplier saw our thin separator. Packaging hasn't assessed it for support. Sam, alternative pattern requested.
24分Include the tool placing the sheet or whoever does that work, once the method is proposed, because a support solution also has to get into the layer reliably.
16分Sara's replenishment question deserves its own line in the eventual handover. In teaching cells we are very good at beginning with a full stack somebody else has prepared. The useful lesson includes what happens when it is no longer full.
25分Sara, manual replenishment proposed. Sheet placement method still undecided. I won't cost it as zero work.
9分Good. That can stay an open method question while packaging assesses the construction. You need not invent the mechanism to ask for both its cost and its effect on access.
16分Are the filled cartons available to packaging, or only the drawing? The internal supports may be the thing the top view leaves out.
12分Filled samples available. Packaging has them and both separator types now.
8分Logan, thanks for that caution. I meant a genuine alternative to assess, not a recommendation to adopt the first pattern without sheets. Sarah's still waiting on two sets of answers.
9分Keep the assessed carton and sheet identities attached to any returned support decision. If packaging proposes a different sheet construction, the supplier's original handling sketch may need revisiting rather than simply changing its label.
5分Dinesh, yes. And the alternative pattern needs its own actual carton support check. We shouldn't let that one escape scrutiny just because the sheet proposal is presently vaguer.
10分Packaging rejected the thin separator for this support proposal. Thicker candidate still under review. Alternative pattern not assessed yet.
24分Then no sheet purchase yet. Useful to know which proposal has actually been ruled out.
12分Sarah, does the proposed replenishment still work with that thicker candidate? Not asking you to assume it will be selected. I would keep the question beside the material review so the practical task does not disappear again.
