A successful FR5 check with no saved laptop settings

The technician's laptop read our FR5 status. Mine sometimes pings it and then times out on the documented check. He sent a successful screenshot, but no settings. I don't want to buy another laptop on the strength of that comparison. What should I ask him to record while his working setup still exists?

The actual network interface, address, selected route and documented service, plus interpreter and imported SDK versions. Have IT compare those with your failing run. A screenshot shows a result, not the configuration that produced it.

He supplied the network details. His laptop uses a different route from ours. Software versions aren't confirmed yet, so I haven't called the route the cause.

Good distinction. Let IT investigate the permitted route and service path while the software maintainer compares versions and launch settings. Keep controller settings unchanged unless the responsible people establish a reason to alter them.

IT corrected our laptop's selected route, and the documented check now returns the intended controller identity. The maintainer also confirmed the supported software versions. We have saved both comparisons.

Keep that known working configuration with the normal launcher in the handover. Then a later timeout has a useful baseline instead of starting again from somebody else's screenshot.
