Fairino FR10: Closing a missing accessory issue without overstating it

Our Fairino FR10 package from an unnamed seller in China is here with the main hardware matching our order. The promised spare kit is missing, including an extra gripper mounting adapter; the installed one is present. I've had 40 days of 'next shipment' replies with no parcel reference. We're planning transferring small housings, and I want the missing kit dealt with.

Is the extra gripper mounting adapter named in the final confirmation? Put that beside your inventory so the installed item can't be mistaken for the spare.

@IsabelBrooks0822 Yes, the final seller message names the extra gripper mounting adapter. I've checked the packaging and accessory list. We've the normal setup components, but no spare kit.

@JuliaAdams0152 Use the confirmed spare commitment and received inventory to ask for its part code and dispatch status. A dispatched kit should also have a transport reference they can identify.

Is it petty to keep chasing this when the robot itself arrived? The replies make it sound like a tiny favour.

I had a separate accessory order like that. Calling it an outstanding order item helped me stay specific without turning it into a claim that the whole machine was missing

@MeiArcher0429 An outstanding spare-kit item is an accurate description. With the main package complete, the missing spare shouldn't affect your plans for transferring small housings.

You don't know their maintenance plan. A missing spare can affect readiness even when the installed hardware is complete.

I overstated the operational conclusion. The inventory establishes that the installed component is present; your maintenance needs determine how the absent spare affects planning.

@IsabelBrooks0822 That's closer to it. I want to decide our spares plan with real information, not keep a permanent 'maybe in the next box' on the list.

@IsabelBrooks0822 Why ask for a part code if they already know the robot?

You need the spare for your supplied configuration. A confirmed code tells you more than 'an extra' or 'the usual kit'.

The seller's follow-up messages promise inclusion without identifying the spare's code. That's part of why the repeated reassurance isn't resolving the issue for me.

Ask what shipment they mean. Yours, another order, or a shipment they haven't booked? 'Next shipment' needs a noun attached to it

Would you place another order just to get the spare included?

The current commitment needs its own completion proposal. A further purchase shouldn't be treated as necessary without first clarifying how the seller intends to supply the already-promised spare.

Agreed. I want them to propose completion of this order, not give me a reason to start another shopping list.

Request a written description of any alternative item or order adjustment. A defined proposal gives you something to evaluate against the original spare commitment

Would you keep that under the original order conversation? I'd rather not scatter the agreement across three chats.

Use the original order conversation to preserve the spare commitment, shortage, and proposed alternative in one place. Distinguish discussion of an option from acceptance of a changed arrangement.

@IsabelBrooks0822 I've pinned down the spare commitment and can ask for its code and dispatch status. The main package is complete, but our spare kit is still outstanding.
