our reference plate passes again when the monitor reconnects

Our FR10 monitor adds another accepted plate after a connection loss. The completion still carries the original job identity, so I think we are counting the return of the message rather than another inspection. I need the covering operator to see what actually happened, without resubmitting the job.

Check whether the saved job already owns that result. A reconnect should not give the same completion a second entry merely because it has a new receipt time.

The stored inspection is unchanged. The summary counts incoming completion messages, including the repeated one. Both entries link to the same job and attempt.

Then fix the summary, not the retained completion.

Does the operator have a way to open that one attempt from the inflated total?

And test a genuine second inspection of the same plate. Ignoring everything with the same plate identity would hide work you meant to count.

We changed the summary to use the stored attempt dispositions. The replay now covers a repeated completion, a second inspection of the same plate and reopening the monitor. Totals agree with the attempt list in all three. Louis, each total now opens that list with the relevant filter.

Thanks for naming the second-inspection test. That was the bit I couldn't tell from the first description.

Much easier to hand over than telling everyone to subtract one after a disconnect.
