steel blank leaves the fixture, tool still inside

Our FR10 removal sketch ends as soon as the steel blank clears the fixture. The fingers and gripper body still have to come through the mill opening, but they are not drawn. I'm asking for the complete exit before we settle the base position.

Does the proposal have an actual gripper selected, or just an allowance for one? You need to know whether the missing shape exists yet.

Gripper selected, custom fingers proposed. The finger sketch is separate from the layout. Adapter drawing is still with the tool supplier.

Who is combining those drawings?

The robot supplier has agreed to do it. I sent the machine fitter's survey too (open door included this time).

Good. Have they got the actual grip position along the blank? A drawing of the right fingers can still put the part in the wrong place in the model.

And the finger-open shape for release?

Noah, grip position is dimensioned from the blank end. Fiona, only closed fingers are in the current sketch. Asked for the open outline as well.

Make them check the empty return as well. I've seen people move a held part through a lovely gap and then discover the open fingers need more room on the way back. Don't stop the review at part delivered.

Combined model came back. Proposed straight exit puts the adapter close to the door hardware. Supplier is comparing an angled withdrawal. Nothing selected from that comparison yet.

If that means moving the base, show stores and the setter where it would go before committing. Our fixture trolley was absent from a drawing until someone needed to use it.

Victor, does that comparison use the final adapter drawing now? Earlier it was still with the tool supplier.

Yes, adapter revision C is in it. Supplier is trying a different wrist orientation from the same provisional base, not moving it at present.

Understood, same base for now. Does the setter have enough room there for the ordinary fixture change? My trolley question still applies without a base move.

An angled way out can help, but ask them to show the whole turn with the blank still held. A start pose and an end pose can leave the awkward bit conveniently invisible.

Jonas, setter has reviewed the trolley route and fixture access at that base. Gabriel, requested the intervening motion. The returned pictures only showed the two ends, exactly as you suspected.

Do the new fingers still allow access to their fixing screws?

Worth asking. We could change ours, but only after removing another plate, which nobody included in the changeover estimate. Not impossible, just an irritating omission.

Jonas, was removing that plate a routine tooling change or work you had to call maintenance for?

Fiona, tool supplier is adding the replacement-access detail. Full withdrawal review is still outstanding. I've kept the FR10 choice provisional rather than treating the clearer end pictures as the finished check.
