Ask them to compare the boss and mating face against your agreed tooling assembly. I don't know what their suffix denotes, but it doesn't explain the visible difference.

21分I'd ask for the agreed adapter as an option before accepting a modification. Any proposed machining needs a defined engineering review, not a sketch of the bit they want gone.
