I am sorting old gusseted mounting-bracket records for our proposed FR5 fixture work. Aligned while held, outside the drawing after release, then an unexplained correction routine. The stage labels are sketchy. How would you establish whether the supposed final check really describes an unrestrained bracket? Records review only.
Final inspector is still here. I have the drawing revision and assembly identity, but the inspection sheet just says bench check. I have asked about the supports and the actual feature.
Bench check sounds reassuring until you ask what was on the bench. I would keep the inspector's explanation alongside the original sheet, especially if the proposal has already treated that entry as an unrestrained result.
Yes. It says the brackets pass final inspection after removal. Inspector remembers using the checking fixture, which supports the bracket differently from the released measurement setup. Looking for its instruction now.
Found the instruction. The final fixture clamps the flange for a different feature check. Quality confirms that pass cannot replace the released flange requirement. So the two entries were answering different questions.
Not in this packet. Quality has asked the archive owner to trace it. I have removed the claim that the final tick closes the released failure from my review draft.
The correction note names the flange, but gives no method or subsequent reading. I cannot connect it to an accepted released condition yet. That is the missing evidence, rather than a general claim that the fixture is bad.
