12分Aaron, yes, blank is in it. Gabriel, old machine drawing. Door got treated as a later detail. I've asked our setter to mark its working opening on the same view.
2分Do the cheap drawing check, certainly. But do not spend days saving a base position nobody has actually committed to. I walked away from a layout that consumed the changeover route whichever way we turned it.

21分Setter works from the other side. I'm trying to keep that access. Isabel, agreed about not falling in love with a dot on the floor. This dot is currently only pencil.

8分That is one for the toolmaker, Aaron. Shortening a drawn outline is very cheap until someone has to make it grip properly.

13分Fair enough. A revised jaw could help, but I would want them to check release as well. A part can be easy to carry in and awkward to leave behind.
6分Door outline is on the drawing now. Straight entry is blocked by the jaw backs; angled entry gets those past but puts the rear fitting at the door edge. So there are two snags, not one.

11分Only closed. Toolmaker sent the open outline after I asked. That also interferes at the angled position. Thanks, Imran, that would have been an expensive omission.

17分Would the setter accept a different fixture orientation, Anil, or would that just move the obstruction into their way? I do not know your machine access well enough to guess.
6分Moving the fixture can also change their loading job. Do not offer it as a painless fix before they have seen it.
16分The setter has looked at the alternative orientation and doesn't want it. Harder to clean the pocket and inspect the seat. We have binned the angled approach and asked the toolmaker whether a different tool concept is worth pursuing.
