The sleeve mark vanishes under the supplier's lamp

I've been sent a softer pad sample for our FR5 sleeve handling job. Under their lamp the handled sleeve looks clean. Under the light at our packing bench I can still see a dull band, though I can't tell whether it's residue or a change to the finish. I don't want to reject a useful pad on a bad comparison, but their photograph doesn't settle it for me
