I'm checking the FR10 bracket estimate. The old route has a press operation between welding and accepted dimensions. The new spreadsheet removed it and kept the old acceptance figures. Nobody can explain that leap, but everybody likes the resulting cycle time.

Restore the correction and inspection as unresolved work in the estimate until a current-part trial establishes which operations remain necessary.

Estimator has put them back as open lines. Fabrication says the press was used on some batches, not all. No batch-by-batch count yet.

Ask whether the old route cards identify those batches; an average based on memory would give the spreadsheet another attractive number with weak foundations.

Do the final figures all use the same drawing revision? Could be another difference hidden in that spreadsheet.

Julia, no. Two revisions are mixed. I've separated them and asked quality which measurements changed between the drawings.

Route cards identify press use for part of the period. Earlier cards are missing. We can describe that subset, not claim an overall correction rate.

Keep the missing period visible alongside any quoted rate, and have the trial cover the current component and fixture proposal rather than reproducing whichever old batch is easiest to document.

Trial scope is with welding and quality now. Current revision only, with individual pieces followed through released measurement and any correction. No results yet. At least the estimate no longer pretends the press was decorative.

Who keeps the sample IDs attached when the brackets move to the press? Worth settling before the trial starts.
