I'm holding our housing tool off the delivered UR5e package because the adapter's locating shoulder differs from the configuration the seller confirmed, and I'd like equivalent explained in dimensions and actual tool fit rather than repeated more loudly
Photos initially, now toolroom measurements too; supplied shoulder height matches a different adapter drawing, so we can identify the version instead of just saying it looks odd
Send both drawing references with that measurement. It should make the requested comparison clearer for the technical person than a general complaint about the package configuration.
Sent, and asked for the agreed version or an assessed replacement; the supplied adapter hasn't been fitted and we haven't altered our tool to accommodate it
Ask whether the agreed adapter is available. On another order, equivalent turned out to mean the original wasn't on the shelf. It didn't make the substitute suitable, but it explained why sales kept avoiding the replacement question.
Who will maintain the approved configuration record afterwards? I have seen the replacement arrive while the old drawing remained the only document in the folder. The next fitter should not have to rediscover this exchange
Your tool reviewer should also receive the seller's proposed remedy before anything is ordered. That keeps the actual fit question attached to the purchasing decision.
Seller says the agreed adapter can be supplied after manufacture, no confirmed completion date; we have asked for that proposal while our tool reviewer finishes the substitute comparison
When a replacement does arrive, have its identity checked against that agreed record before closing receiving. A parcel turning up would be progress, not the final verification.
