How many point tweaks before we inspect the locator?

I've inherited an FR10 sleeve transfer that gets a new pickup adjustment whenever the fixture is cleaned, and the grip now looks skewed; what would establish whether our removable locator is seating properly before another teach session?

Inspect the mating faces and locating features with the fixture safely isolated; cleaning is a clue about what gets disturbed, not proof the robot moved

Found dried residue behind the removable stop, but the operator says the last poor pickup happened before cleaning; I have asked maintenance to check seating rather than declare that the cause

Compare the fixture's installed position over repeated approved refits, and inspect the tool separately if the grip remains skewed

After cleaning the mating faces, the stop seats consistently under the fitter's checks, while one finger still contacts first; looks like we have been mixing two faults together

Could be two faults, but finger-first contact can also reflect the part position; have them check the assembled geometry before changing parts

The tool check found a worn finger locating feature, so the toolmaker is repairing that and maintenance will review the accumulated point changes afterwards

Give whoever refits it the corrected fixture and tool references together, otherwise the old compensation may get taught straight back in
