Request an itemised list with identifiers and known omissions. It makes the inspection visit easier to plan and gives you a complete-package price to compare.

They now say cleaned and powered on, no repair work. That's a smaller word than refurbished in my book. Asked for the item list and a proper inspection visit.

Have a qualified assessor agree the visit scope with the seller. Seeing it move can be useful, but the condition review needs more than one successful demonstration.

Did they actually claim repairs in the advert, or just use refurbished? I'd keep their exact wording beside the new answer so you can ask about the difference.

And no listed repairs in the advert, Amara. Just refurbished. I've sent the two descriptions back and asked what work that word covers. Collection money is staying put.

Wise to wait for the list as well; the inspection could be fine and you could still spend the following month hunting the missing bits.

Also ask who supports this exact package after sale and what the written terms cover. That belongs in your comparison before the collection booking.
