Why does our FR10 housing turn after the fingers finish closing?

Housing stays square during closure, then turns before lift. Point edits have accumulated. I have stopped further edits and retained the last recording. Looking for a mechanical inspection order, not another offset.

We had a housing move because it was still caught on its nest. Does yours touch any fixture feature after the fingers close?

Contact height is worth looking at too. We found a finger pair on our spacer job that looked similar but didn't support the part the same way. Yours may be entirely different, of course.

Check the recorded sequence against the actual fixture and gripper contacts, with maintenance inspecting the assembly under isolation before deciding whether the movement belongs to the part, a finger or the nest.

Have the housing dimensions changed since the original setup?

On our shift the first report would probably say pickup bad, then everyone would start looking at points. Your timing detail helps. Please leave it in the job note for whoever takes over.

Hana, no visible fixture contact at that stage. Theo Brooks, inspection confirms the retained housings match the current drawing. Maintenance has the assembly and the saved program versions.

Can the recording distinguish movement of the housing within the grip from movement of the whole finger?

Naomi's distinction is worth checking in the isolated inspection. Do not ask someone to get closer during a live cycle just to improve the phone view.

Also preserve the order of the point edits. Dates without the corresponding program versions won't show what changed.

What is the temporary arrangement for the affected work? If another shift is doing it by hand, they need the same part identification and inspection requirement.

Manual work is covered by the existing process, Farah. Naomi, inspection found movement in one finger carrier mounting. It shifts under load within the grip; the housing follows it.

Different from our finger-shape problem, then. Glad you checked the mounting before ordering another pair.

Have maintenance restore the intended mounting and explain the movement, then review the accumulated point compensation against that restored assembly rather than selecting an old version by date alone.

Mounting repaired. Its locating sleeve was missing after previous service. Correct sleeve fitted and checked; programmer removed the compensating edits through review. Pickup no longer turns the retained housing. Release checks remain unfinished.

Was the sleeve missing from the service instructions too?

Drawing showed it. Service checklist did not identify it separately. That is corrected now, with a post-assembly check. Thanks, Naomi, for distinguishing the moving finger from the moving housing.
