Can't define the FR10 bracket route from these final ticks

I'm sorting the handover requirements for an FR10 welding proposal. Old sheets show the gusseted bracket held against the jig stops, then accepted after correction. No loose-part reading in between. I can't decide which checks the new route needs from that alone.

Ask whether the final tick was recorded before or after the correction for each batch. The sequence on the form may not be the sequence people followed.

Inspector says after correction on the batches she signed. We've kept her account with those specific sheets, not assumed it covers every old batch.

That helps. Is the correction time in the current estimate?

I would find the actual checking instruction next. A tick against the jig stops may only confirm fit-up. It may never have been intended to describe the finished bracket angle.

Correction time is blank, Harish Abbott. I've flagged that to the estimator. Toolroom is looking for the checking instruction Elliot mentioned.

Who owns the finished-part acceptance in the new route?

Bruno, do the sheets identify individual brackets? We had clamped and corrected figures sharing a batch folder without being traceable to the same pieces.

Only batch numbers, Harish Chen. Quality owns final acceptance, Maya, but the proposal hasn't separated that from the fixture check yet.

Then do not pair the old readings as if each row follows one part. They can still describe the old process without giving you a measured before-and-after change.

A provisional cost allowance would be more honest than leaving the correction blank. It can change when the trial answers the question.

Found instruction J3. It checks contact at the jig stops before welding; final drawing F checks the released angle from datum A. So the two ticks were never the same check.

Useful find. Does J3 actually belong to this fixture, or did it just turn up in the folder?

Its fixture number matches the plate, and the support arrangement matches the toolroom drawing. Quality has confirmed that link. The old correction method is still not described.

Will the new handover identify where an out-of-tolerance released bracket goes?

Yes, quality will own that disposition. We've asked welding and quality for a current-part comparison with the released reading taken before any correction, and the estimate keeps an allowance meanwhile.

Please post the comparison when it is available. I would like to know how much of that allowance survives once the process is defined.
