Can you still identify that plate in the sample box, Fiona, and get quality to look at it before you recapture anything?
4分Found it. A small edge scuff is visible, but not the wide stripe across the face.
7分Keep both in view when you plan the new images, because getting rid of the stripe won't help if the edge scuff disappears from the camera as well
2分Who decides whether that edge scuff is acceptable? We had three people tuning an inspection around three different personal standards, which was a surprisingly effective way to achieve nothing all afternoon.

14分Give the plate an identifier that stays with its pictures. We once had a marked sample bag reused for another part, and the file names then sounded much more certain than the contents deserved.

17分Chloe, we used an approved mark on a non-inspected area and a matching bag. The important change was stopping people swapping parts between bags on the bench; the identifier wasn't much use if nobody kept it attached to the right piece.
16分Thanks for saying the scuff is still faint, Fiona; I'll be interested in the next comparison, because a calmer-looking image is not automatically an easier defect to find.
