Our FR5 camera planning folder has a row of alleged scratches that line up rather well with the window blind, so I'm thinking a cheap screen and a few properly checked bezels before we price more lenses. Anyone sorted this kind of reference-image mess?

Can I ask whether you've still got those exact bezels? I'd start there rather than trying to judge damage from reflections in old pictures.

23分Get quality to look at them. Then you'll know which images belong to acceptable parts, even when the lighting makes them look awful.

18分Thanks for keeping the actual pieces, that's more than we had when a supplier asked us to reproduce a mysterious mark from a cropped photo.
0分I did much the same with machining marks once. The screen makes you terribly sure of yourself until somebody hands you the part.
9分Quality can look later. For now I've put the labels back to unconfirmed and kept the originals so I don't forget what I changed.
6分Keep the capture setup with each image too, because whoever repeats this trial will need to know where the light and sample were, not just which bezel it was.
5分Quality accepted two and rejected one for a nick at the inner edge, nowhere near my bright stripes. I've got a location photo for the nick now.
9分Use that accepted pair and rejected piece together when testing the screen; can the camera still show the real nick after you remove the blind reflection?

14分They're on my trial shelf with hold labels. Screen test hasn't happened yet; I need the same lighting setup back before comparing images. At least we now know where the actual defect is.
