Our FR5 housing rolls onto one finger before lifting

The housing rolls slightly when our FR5 grips it, then sits crooked for placement. We've changed pickup points twice and I'm tired of teaching around something nobody has measured. What should maintenance inspect first while the setup is stopped?

Start with the fitted finger pair, pad backing and fixture seating against the intended drawings, with the equipment isolated for inspection. We recently discussed a retained packing piece behind one replacement pad. It is one possible cause, not a diagnosis of yours.

Pads were replaced before the latest edit. Maintenance has them off for inspection now. The earlier edit was before replacement, so there may be more than one thing here.

Keep that order of events. Check the source seating as well, and let the programmer review both edits after the hardware findings rather than assuming the last successful points remain correct.

Will do. Source tray check is on the same inspection request; no new point changes planned.

Toolroom found one pad from an earlier profile. They are confirming the correct pair. Tray contacts look sound, but the first pre-replacement complaint is still unexplained.

Have stores separate that older profile too. Otherwise the repair can quietly be reversed at the next pad change, with another helpful pickup edit to follow.
