Sealed box, incomplete kits, disputed quantity - repeating lightweight fixture loading jobs

I bought accessories from an unnamed seller in China to make 93 matched kits for repeating lightweight fixture loading jobs with our existing Universal Robots UR5e, with a gripper finger set in each kit. The outer box arrived sealed but contains too few of that item. The seller interprets the quantity as pieces, despite the invoice's kit description and a final per-kit contents message.

Has the received inventory included all inner bags and loose items, using the final per-kit contents list as its reference? That would distinguish an actual count gap from items packed elsewhere.

@YasminBell0615 I included loose items in the inventory before distributing any accessories. The seller's final contents message specifies a gripper finger set in each kit, but our received total can't complete 93 kits.

@YasminCarter0963 Send the received counts beside the final kit definition and invoice line. Ask the seller to explain its unit of sale using those exact documents.

@YasminBell0615 Would packing error be a fair description at this point? The sealed outer box makes me suspect the contents were already like this when dispatched.

Call it a received-count discrepancy while the unit argument is open. You can show exactly what's short against your kit list without claiming how it happened.

I've got a received count to compare with the per-kit message and invoice. The unit disagreement is still open, and our planned kits remain incomplete.

Your comparison establishes what was received without pretending the quantity wording has already been resolved.
