Cannot rank the UR5e sleeve trial against a different tray process

Our UR5e candidate was demonstrated with sleeves standing in fitted pockets, while the other candidate used our loose workshop tray; how should I compare the complete methods before deciding whether the apparent speed advantage is worth a tray change?

Compare from your incoming sleeves to the same finished tray state, including preparation, tray filling and changeover, because the first video has already had work done before the robot starts

The pocket-tray supplier says those trays would be supplied empty, so our operator would fill them from the current containers before each run.

Could the same trays travel from an earlier process instead, or would that just move the hand filling to another person? I would ask before deciding the extra preparation has to happen at this bench.

Naomi, worth asking, but include the tray pool and return handling if that becomes an option; reusable trays don't return themselves clean and ready

Earlier process cannot use these pockets without its own fixture change, so we are comparing preparation here and have requested a sample tray for the operator to try.

That narrows it usefully; keep any manual benefit of the pocket tray separate in the comparison, because better presentation might help even without changing the arm.

And give both candidates the same awkward cases in the repeat, including incomplete trays, rather than filming only the tidy full one

Did the sample reach your operator, Dinesh, and was filling it as straightforward as the supplier expected?
