The sleeve looks upright in our tray, then tips as the second finger reaches it. We have accumulated several pickup edits trying to improve this. I want maintenance to compare the physical setup before we teach another correction, including the receiving end this time. Where would you begin?

Does the lean follow a particular tray pocket, or do sleeves from several pockets tip toward the same finger?

Several pockets, same direction. The maintainer has the tray and fingers identified now. I was concentrating on the tray because that was where each unsuccessful pickup began.

Then compare both fitted contact profiles with their drawing and the accepted sleeves. I wouldn't condemn the tray from where the movement starts. Is one finger contacting a different part of the sleeve?

Yes. One pad is worn back at the lower contact, so the remaining upper edge reaches first. Toolmaker has confirmed that against the spare matched pair. Replacement and the accumulated job edits are being reviewed together.

Matched pads fitted and the job reviewed by the integrator. Maintenance and quality checked the accepted sleeve range from the identified trays through release into the fixture. No tipping or release problem in those checks. The contact inspection is now on the handover, not another coordinate note.

Did the toolmaker suggest an inspection interval from that wear, or are you starting with closer checks until you know how quickly it develops?
