the demo box had a very convenient patch of bare board

We put our own packed carton beside the supplier's vacuum demo box and the proposed contact patch crossed a tape overlap on ours. Their box had bare board there. Same general size, very different face. This is for an FR10 teaching setup, and I'd like students to see a fair comparison before we spend money on the tool. Would you send a range of ordinary cartons first or ask the supplier to draw a different contact arrangement around the tape?

Can your packing process guarantee where that tape overlap ends up?

No. The centre seam is controlled, the end of the tape wanders within what packing accepts. So a drawing that neatly misses today's overlap would be a rather selective answer.

Send the accepted range first and ask them to show the proposed contacts against it, including how the complete transfer and release would be assessed.

We have packed examples selected with packing, and the supplier wants to compare two contact layouts using them. I've kept the original bare-board demo in the lesson beside the sample photographs. It is useful precisely because it looked so convincing before we checked the face.

Will the comparison include the packing variation students are likely to receive, without somebody sorting out the awkward cartons first?
