Can't approve a stronger clamp for this rocking bracket

I took a handful of drilled angle brackets to our proposed UR5e nest and each found a slightly different way to sit. Now the answer coming back is a stronger clamp. Before we buy that, shouldn't we know which of the pins and side contacts is meant to locate what?

Yes. Ask the designer to relate each locating contact to the bracket drawing and intended restraint. Have inspection check representative samples too. Forcing them down could hide a conflicting contact or distort the part rather than produce the intended seat.

Designer says the pins locate the holes and both upright faces steady the angle. Inspection is checking the samples. I've asked whether those faces are meant to touch together, because that isn't clear on the nest drawing

Include the required clearance or contact condition for those faces in their answer. Then the bench comparison can check the intended arrangement instead of treating whichever face touches first as correct.
