Our FR5 aluminium-blank exit has no gripper in it

Our integrator will coordinate it. Toolmaker has the gripper body, but fittings are still being selected. Machine owner is measuring the actual door. I hadn't included the setter's fixture change, Isabel; thanks.

Zara, did your combined review keep the existing stand position or move it?

Still undecided on ours, Hassan. We have the actual survey and loaded assembly being brought together, not a result I can claim. It at least stopped the inputs being mistaken for an approved layout.

Harish, are the provisional fittings visibly marked as provisional?

That matters for maintenance too; a later fitting choice could clear the motion path but leave no practical access for replacement.

Yes, Jamie. The integrator has marked the fittings as provisional and is comparing two stand positions. Both include the tool and blank, with the open door surveyed. Setter hasn't reviewed them yet.

Does the setter change this fixture regularly, or only when the product family changes?

Either way, draw the actual changeover space. Frequency changes the nuisance, not whether it fits.

Regularly, Hassan. Setter favours the side position because the trolley stays accessible. The loaded exit there still needs checking, so that preference hasn't become our purchase decision.

Keep the empty return and service access beside that exit check; the side position has to work for the complete cycle and the people maintaining it.

Would be useful to hear which position survives, Harish. My own review is still open, so I am collecting the questions rather than offering a winning layout.
