Which guide belongs with the pendant they sent me?

I've unpacked our UR5e for sample transfers. Pendant connection doesn't match the seller's guide. How do I establish what I've actually received before power goes anywhere near it?

Start with the separate labels on the arm, controller and pendant. The arm label alone does not establish the supplied combination. Send those details and clear connector photographs to a support contact who can identify the equipment and its applicable documentation.

Arm and controller labels photographed. Pendant label is under a sleeve. Haven't removed anything yet

Do you mean a loose shipping sleeve or a fitted cover? Don't dismantle the pendant to chase a label. An overall photograph may let support tell you where the identification should be visible.

Loose padded shipping sleeve. Label visible now. Guide cover names another controller family

That may just be a wrong PDF, which is irritating enough without assuming the hardware is wrong too. Have you sent the document cover alongside the equipment photos? Makes the mismatch harder to miss.

Also describe whether any loose adapters were included. Leave them disconnected while the combination is being identified. A bag of parts in the crate is not evidence that every part belongs in your installation.

Ours came with a cable from the seller's test bench mixed into the box, so yep, photograph the loose bits too

How did you identify that cable, Hassan? Was there a part number on it, or did the seller recognise a photo? Might help Anika know what to photograph if there are loose leads in this box too.

The photographs should show the equipment labels and the connectors without obscuring their condition. You may also want a separate inventory of supplied items, since the seller can then answer each discrepancy directly.

Keep the supplier question narrow: identify the supplied combination and provide the matching installation documentation. 'Send the right manual' can easily get you another generic download without resolving which hardware it applies to.

Sent inventory and photos. Seller replied 'same function'. That's not an identification

No, it isn't. I'd quote back the two controller-family names and ask which document applies to the label in your photo. A short question may get further than another long explanation of the whole delivery.

Done. Also asked manufacturer support to identify the combination. No test power-up planned

Seller recognised their handwritten test-bench tag in my photo, the connector pictures alone hadn't rung any bells

Was that tag on the cable itself or its bag? We keep the loose-item packaging until the inventory is settled, because a useful identifying label can otherwise go straight in the bin.

Have you got someone locally who will take responsibility for checking the installation once support replies? Correct documentation is necessary, but somebody still has to assess the actual supplied equipment and connections before commissioning.

Our integrator will inspect it. Seller has acknowledged the wrong attachment, still waiting for the replacement guide

That is at least a concrete response. Send the integrator the original photographs and inventory now so they can flag any missing identification before their visit. It may save you paying for a visit that ends at the same question.
