Who should compare the delivered FR10 bracket with our approved interface?

Our FR10 tool bracket arrived with a different interface from the approved drawing. I have left the tooling unfitted; the seller calls it equivalent but has not addressed the mounting difference.

Has a technical person answered, or only sales? The mounting difference needs somebody who can compare the assemblies.

Only sales so far. They have sent the same overall robot brochure twice.

I'd stop replying about the overall arm. Put the agreed bracket drawing and delivered interface photograph side by side, with the specific mismatch marked. They can either answer that or admit it needs someone else.

Does your toolmaker have the delivered bracket dimensions, Mia, or only the photograph? It may change the entire adapter question rather than one hole position.

Use the actual component identifiers too. My FR10 guide problem started with matching order labels but missing connection information; the broad product name did not select the right instructions.

Caleb, only the photograph at present. Grace, I have added the bracket marking and robot label to the request, with the agreed drawing revision.

Who is your installer speaking to at the seller? Sales forwarding an attachment is not much of a technical route.

Maya, sometimes sales is the only route they give you. I'd ask for the named technical response through that contact first, rather than leave Mia hunting for an address nobody monitors.

Agreed. Ask the contact to return the comparison, not simply confirm that the message was forwarded.

And leave your unfitted plate alone while they answer. Drilling it to suit a photograph would make the original difference much harder to resolve.

Sales has now named a technical contact. That person requests a measured interface check by our installer before proposing an adapter; no modification authorised.

That's the contact I meant. Will they also confirm which delivered bracket drawing the installer should compare against?

They supplied a bracket drawing, revision B. Our purchase referred to revision A. The installer and toolmaker are comparing the actual delivered interface with B and the intended arrangement with A.

Now there's something to work with. Don't let the existence of revision B become the whole answer, though; they still owe you a proposal for the tooling arrangement you bought against A.

Mia, will that proposal include the changed tool position in the access check? You've already been asking that on your mill review, and an adapter can bring it back here.

Yes, Caleb. Any proposed adapter will be reviewed as part of the complete tool and handling route. The measured comparison is underway; I cannot say yet whether an adapter is the right remedy.

Include the eventual assembly revision in the spare-parts handover as well, once agreed. Stores should not have to reconstruct this discussion when the bracket needs replacing.
