Rotating our dispatch cartons puts their support over gaps

My alternating pallet drawing looks neat, but some dispatch cartons turn across gaps in the layer below. They've got a preferred support direction. Planning this with a UR5e, and I want packaging and tooling looking at the same layout before anyone accepts it. What evidence should the joint review start from?

Overlay the actual support faces, not just carton outlines. Mark the rotated positions separately.

Done the overlay. It makes the unsupported areas quite obvious; packaging wants the carton construction and contents against those positions, not just the outside dimensions.

What did they actually reject: the support orientation, the gaps, or the absence of evidence? Those lead to different changes.

Yes. Don't move cartons around yet and lose which version packaging reviewed.

They haven't rejected the whole pattern. They won't accept the rotated positions from a drawing alone. I've frozen this revision and attached their questions; the tool supplier is checking release access on this same one.

Then the review has two unresolved assessments, not a failed pallet design. Keep the proposed transport conditions with packaging's questions as well.

And label any later layout revision. Easy to bring yesterday's print to the meeting.
