Leave it off. I'd want someone qualified to inspect that damage before trying power, and I'd tell the seller their 'try it' reply isn't good enough.

Crate brace has shifted against our FR10 connector housing

That is where I have paused. I have arrival photographs, the carrier receipt and images through the opened lid. I have not moved the brace or connected anything.
19分A wider photo would help me follow this. Can you show the brace and arm together without moving the packing? Hard to picture it from a dent alone.
8分The wide view is already in the receiving photos. I had sent only the cropped damage picture to the seller. I will send the full sequence with captions.
4分Ask who will assess it and what they need before transport or unpacking continues. Sometimes the first useful step is an inspection at the receiving site. You don't want three people independently telling you to move it somewhere else.
4分I'd ask whether they're sending someone out or just looking at the photos. Get them to spell out what they'll check in the email (before you book anything).
7分Label the photos by location and view, with the original files retained; a decent evidence set costs little and helps whoever eventually gets the inspection job.
22分I'd caption that one 'brace against housing'. We haven't seen inside, so I'd leave any claim about a broken connector for whoever inspects it.
23分What did receiving note before the lid came off? The external condition and the internal discovery need a clear sequence, particularly if several people handled the delivery.
18分Owen, is the crushed corner on the driver's sheet? That and your first photos would help here. Anything you add now, mark as a later note.
12分Receiving noted the crushed corner on the delivery sheet. The internal brace was found when the lid was opened after delivery. Two staff were present, and the original photos preserve that order.
13分Have you now been given an assessor's name? Your evidence is taking shape, but somebody still needs responsibility for deciding what inspection and handling are appropriate. The delivery account cannot make that technical decision.
14分The seller has offered a local service contact. I have asked that contact to review the pictures and propose an inspection scope. No attendance date or handling instructions agreed yet.
17分Send them the equipment identification as well. They should confirm they can assess this equipment and this kind of damage before you arrange access or move the crate for their visit.
7分And ask what access they need at the visit, because discovering they expected the arm unpacked after you've been told to preserve the packing would be a pain.
13分They have confirmed the equipment identification and asked that we leave the packing arrangement intact. Their initial visit will assess visible condition and the next inspection steps, not commission the arm.
0分That gives planning a defined milestone. I would keep the training date provisional until the assessment establishes what further work is needed.
18分Get their findings on paper afterwards, including the bits they couldn't check. I'd hate to pay for that visit and come away with another 'probably fine'.
15分The visit found external housing damage that needs further examination. We are waiting for the proposed repair and inspection plan. The arm remains unpowered; our training session has been rescheduled.
9分I reckon the next question is what they'll check after the repair. A new housing will look better, but I'd still want to know the arm's been properly checked.
