Our FR10 refill transfer has made me the pouch straightener

My colleague can run the narrow refill once it's arranged, but the wider one still needs me deciding where the guides go and how much to flatten it.

Then separate those two cases. Does the narrow refill earn its preparation time over a normal order, or is it just the least troublesome demonstration?

Not measured over the full order yet, and least troublesome demonstration is a fairly accurate description of how I chose it.

Give the narrow case a bounded comparison with the current packing method, including preparation, clearing and your colleague doing the work. You can decide whether that small job is worth keeping without spending more effort rescuing every bag shape.

Victor, I'd also ask Mina what happens when one narrow refill won't behave. The routine can look teachable while every exception still calls its inventor back.

Agreed. Include the ordinary interruptions and how the colleague handles them. I meant a complete usable job, not the good portion of the transfer repeated until it looks persuasive.

And decide what result means stop before timing it. You've already got enough reasons to grant yourself one more weekend of improvements.
