the pretty pallet pattern leaves the box ends hanging

I'm checking a UR5e pallet layout and the rotated cases put their reinforced ends above the lower layer's gaps; our packaging person wants less rotation, but dispatch likes the alternating pattern because the labels face out.

Labels can move. Crushed ends are harder to fix. Has dispatch seen where the load actually sits?

Only the top view so far, I've drawn the reinforced ends onto the layer underneath and it looks rather less clever now.

Take them that view. Not everyone reads a pallet sketch the same way.

Can labels be read from two sides instead of all four? That might give you more freedom without adding a separate labelling job.

Depends where it goes. Our store only reads one side; a customer's conveyor wanted another. Dispatch should know which rule they're designing around.

Adding labels is not free either, especially if somebody has to identify which boxes need the extra one.

Fair, but I said move them, not double them. I'd ask that before redesigning the whole load around the current sticker position.

Dispatch says two outward faces are enough for this route, so Gabriel's suggestion gives us another pattern to consider, thanks.

And the tool supplier wants wider spaces between two rows to release the gripper, which means packaging has another version coming rather than a finished answer.

Do those wider spaces sit under a reinforced end on the next layer?
