Looking at our warehouse pallet plan. Rotated shipping cartons fit beautifully, except their preferred support edges land over gaps. Need packaging and tooling looking at the same thing before this becomes the chosen pattern. Which views actually show the problem?
Overlay each layer on the one below and mark the filled-carton bearing areas. Add sections through the widest unsupported spans. The tool movement must use that same carton arrangement and placement order.
We've only got each layer separately. No wonder nobody saw the overlap problem. I'll ask for the bearing areas rather than shading the whole bottom as supported.
Also ask packaging what support those bearing areas require. The drawing locates the gaps, but their acceptability depends on the packed case, not on how alarming the shading looks.
Packaging wants filled samples to assess that. Tooling is waiting for the combined view. So no, we haven't proved the alternating pattern wrong yet, just proved the old drawing couldn't answer it.
That is a reasonable place to leave the decision. When the view arrives, include finger opening and withdrawal around the already placed cartons; a closed-tool position alone will not complete your joint review.
