Which polished-cover evidence should our FR5 scratch examples rely on?

Planning FR5 cover inspection. Bright streaks shift with presentation but already carry scratch labels. How should I establish references before commissioning?

Ask the acceptance owner to judge the actual identified covers. The pictures can then show whether the imaging arrangement reveals their known condition. Without that link you are tuning toward an opinion about a bright patch.

Requested physical assessment. Our labels came from the photographs, so they remain provisional.

Keep capture conditions with each image too, or later comparisons will mix exposure changes with presentation changes without showing which occurred

Has the physical assessment returned? If some covers remain disputed, keep that uncertainty visible. A forced pass or fail label does not make them better training references.

And preserve the original full frames, even if close crops help discuss individual marks

Still awaiting the assessment. Full frames retained; incomplete settings noted. No tuning set approved.

That leaves a clear next dependency. Once the decisions arrive, compare repeated views of accepted and genuinely scratched covers, including reseating. Do not infer that every moving streak is harmless before that work.
