I am checking our FR10 pallet layout before the gripper order. The packing sheet says the case needs support under its long base edges, and the rotated layer does not seem to provide it. Which drawings would help packaging and the tooling supplier work this out together?
Show the case bases against the layer underneath, with the support edges marked. Neat rectangles from above hide precisely the problem you're asking about.
I have asked for that view. The tool supplier also wants to leave more space between cases so the fingers can open, which may make the support question harder.
We had an insert inside a case carrying most of the load, so outside dimensions alone were misleading. Do your packing notes show how the contents are supported, or only arrows on the outer box?
I'd hold the tooling purchase until that conversation lands on one arrangement. Not because your current pattern is definitely wrong; I can't tell that. But a cheap clamp becomes less cheap if the gaps it needs force a complete repack.
