I'm reviewing our proposed laying out a bracket welding cell with Fairino FR10 and a fabricated mounting bracket in a subcontract metal fabrication department. Every seam falls within the reach sketch, which represents the torch as a line, but the full torch body and clamps raise doubts about inside-corner access. We're assessing the layout offline without live welding trials; I need a concrete request for the integrator.
Do you've the complete torch and clamp drawings? Ask the welding engineer for the joint-access requirements, then compare those with the actual geometry offline.
@JuliaBrown0935 My available files include the complete torch drawing and clamp model, but the layout pack contains no process orientation requirements. Its assessment currently addresses reach alone.
Have the welding engineer specify the required orientations, then include the actual torch assembly in the offline model. That creates a basis for assessing clearance.
@ElenaAdams0166 You're right; I described too narrow a check. Include approach, withdrawal, mounting hardware and the cable-routing envelope in the offline access review.
@NoraBaker0496 Ask your integrator to obtain and identify the routing assumptions with the relevant equipment supplier. An undefined cable path should stay a visible model limitation.
On my separate welding layout, the tool model was complete but the extraction hardware wasn't there. We had a beautiful answer to an incomplete question.
@JamieAllen0295 I've checked our layout and found that extraction hardware is also absent. I'll list it as missing geometry so the apparent free space isn't treated as established clearance.
My review request is clear now: assess the actual tool geometry offline against the required welding access. The planning question is answered, while acceptance of the concept remains conditional on the findings.
