A bargain FR5 with an inspection report nobody can find

Listing and a short movement clip. No startup shown, no report. The case looks clean, which is about the full extent of my inspection so far.

Then start with the complete package list and maintenance history. You can review those without a van, and they may show whether an independent inspection is worth arranging.

They say yes to a visit, but I haven't asked what the inspector can actually check. Package list arrived and includes the controller and pendant. Still no repair history.

Ask about access before paying, because our inspector once got a long drive and a demo through a window, which wasn't quite the inspection we'd booked.

Seller permits a proper independent assessment by arrangement. Our local contractor wants the equipment identification and any repair details before quoting. I've passed that request along.

That sounds more promising than the van plan, have they found the wandering technician's report yet?

No report, and now the seller says inspected was a stock-list description. I've put the purchase aside until the contractor prices an assessment. Cheap price, expensive uncertainty... or perhaps merely an incomplete advert. Either way, van cancelled.

Did the contractor give you a price that makes the complete purchase worth considering? Include getting the system supported at your workshop, not only collecting it from theirs.
