Why does our FR5 spacer turn after the jaw-pad change?

Our spacer transfer has accumulated pickup adjustments. The latest clip shows one edge lifting as the pads meet, although the tray position looks unchanged. I want to compare the actual pads and seating before we blame the arm. What else belongs beside that check?

Keep the part's seated position and the fitted pad stack in the comparison, including any backing pieces, with the intended tooling drawing rather than only the replacement bag label.

The replacement pad is the correct part, but I found an extra backing strip under it. No explanation on the maintenance note. I'll ask why it was added before removing it.

Good, because the strip could be compensating for something else; do you know whether the pickup edits came before or after it was fitted?

First edit predates the strip. Later two follow it. The fitter says it was added to match the opposite pad height, but tooling hasn't checked the underlying difference yet.

Have tooling compare both complete sides against the drawing, then review the program against the corrected assembly; matching one pad's height to an unverified opposite side can spread the error.

Opposite side had an older backing plate. Correct pair now identified and being fitted. The original pre-strip complaint remains separate, with the full transfer trial still ahead.

Did that full trial improve the transfer as well as the visible grip, Toby, and has the correct backing-plate information reached whoever orders the next spare?
