our fr5 housing twists before it leaves the tray

FR5 housing pickup has another offset. Housing twists as the first finger touches. I want the tray checked before we keep the edit.

What actually moves first: the housing, or the tray underneath it?

Can you keep that housing for the comparison?

Housing first, Maya. Tray looks still. Sara, retained it and marked the pocket.

Our repaired support made pickups square again, but the old point changes still needed review. I'd put the actual tray in front of maintenance, not its tidier spare.

Compare the seated housing before the fingers arrive. Is it resting on the intended surfaces, or does it only look level from above?

There are two useful questions here: what holds the housing before contact, and where the first finger is meant to meet it. I'd ask maintenance to inspect the complete tray seating and finger assembly against their drawings, with the equipment isolated for that inspection. A small tilt underneath can become a large-looking movement at the housing edge. Equally, the tray may be fine and the contact face misplaced. Keep the observed sequence and the actual parts together so the fitter can distinguish those possibilities, rather than inheriting the diagnosis 'robot drift' because that is the available box on the form.

And keep the saved point versions for controls. A mechanical finding will need to be compared with the edits already made around it.

Who is coordinating maintenance and controls? This crosses the shift handover, so one person needs to keep the open comparison together.

Can the loader see the rear tray support? I've been asking that on our holder checks. A bad seat can be obvious from the inspection side and invisible where someone actually loads it.

Maintenance lead coordinates, Sarah. Victor, rear support is hidden. Inspection found a thin strip under one side.

Can maintenance identify the strip and its position before removing it? On a previous fixture, the question was whether a piece belonged there at all.

Don't blame that strip just because it's surprising. It could belong there, or it could be part of somebody's earlier attempt to straighten things. The drawing and history matter now.

Have the designer confirm the intended support arrangement before the strip is changed, then plan the return comparison with controls rather than restoring an arbitrary older offset.

Designer confirms no strip belongs there. Maintenance identified it as packing material, trapped under the tray support.

Will the loader have a way to notice that seat in the revised check?

Was the packing strip lifting the whole support side?

Yes, Sara. Removed by maintenance; trial with the retained housing and reviewed job improved. Visible-seat check still being designed.

Did that trial include the other pockets and release? Our good pickup result still left those questions worth asking.

And let an ordinary loader try the eventual seating check. The designer already knows where the hidden support is, which makes them an unusually forgiving test subject.
