Our FR5 puck grip tilts while the pickup points keep changing

Another pickup nudge on our aluminium-puck transfer. Tray looks fixed. Grip is less square. I want the physical cause checked before we save yet another explanation in the point file.

Find when the tilt first appears. Compare the puck seated in its source pocket, first tool contact and the held condition. Preserve the fitted parts and edit history for maintenance; the tray looking fixed does not establish that its locating surfaces or insert are unchanged.

Puck is already slightly tilted before finger contact. I only noticed that in the close view. No measured explanation yet.

Does the puck repeat that seat in the same pocket, or does it settle differently each time? That's the comparison I'm still trying to separate on my own puck job.

Pre-contact tilt narrows the search. It does not acquit every fitted finger.

Agreed, Imran. Have maintenance check the pocket's intended support and the actual puck against the drawing first, then carry the fitted contact pair into the same review. Otherwise we can replace the first suspicious thing and leave the subsequent grip condition unexplained.

Our shift once kept the tray body in exactly the same stops while changing the removable insert inside it. Looked unchanged from the aisle. Not saying that's yours, Nina, but I'd identify both before anyone tells the operator the tray can't be involved.

Warren, yes. And put the current hold in the shift note. No last-working-file lottery.

Bruno, it repeats the tilt in one pocket. Warren, tray and insert references match this job. Maintenance found the insert's support ledge worn unevenly there. Adjacent pockets seat the identified puck squarely.

Same puck across pockets is useful. Has maintenance compared that ledge with the specified geometry?

And who is coordinating the mechanical repair with the point history, Nina? A corrected support plus every compensation left in place is a different configuration, so controls need to review the intended return job with maintenance rather than just select the oldest file.

Oliver, exactly. Oldest is a date, not an approval.

Lucy, the ledge is outside the drawing's wear limit. Oliver, our maintenance lead coordinates with controls. Replacement insert is available; intended program combination still under review.

Keep the removed insert for the repair record. Don't let stores scrap the evidence mid-check.

Nina, does the repair review also cover the fingers after those tilted pickups? The source finding is strong, but the original complaint included how the puck ended up held. That deserves its own observed return condition.

It does. Correct replacement fitted by maintenance; static seating comparison is square across the checked pockets. Fitted fingers are within their inspection criteria. Reviewed motion and transfer checks are next, not completed.

Thanks for giving both results. The next shift can understand why the insert changed and why the cell is still awaiting checks, rather than seeing a new part and assuming the job must be back.
