We keep adding a little pickup correction on our UR5e sleeve station. I watched the existing recordings with the learners and the bad grip seems to begin after a tray exchange, not gradually through every tray. The sleeves look square in their pockets. I want to check that change before another point edit becomes part of the lesson.
Can you link the recordings to particular trays? Two trays can look identical from above while one sits differently on the stand. I'd also keep the point versions with those clips so you're not comparing different corrections by accident.
Our new pucks differed at the edge where the support touched them. Have you compared the sleeves as well, or are the two trays carrying different stock?
I'd still check the contact inserts against their drawing. We found a wrong insert before. A tray association is a useful lead, but it doesn't make everything on the gripper correct.
Jo, sure, but Olivia already has a repeatable difference to follow. I wouldn't make her wait for a complete gripper investigation before somebody looks under that tray.
Agreed on looking underneath first. I meant don't lose the tooling check when the tray gives you an attractive explanation. You can find two faults without either one being a waste of time.
Farah, yes. Maintenance found one replacement support button standing higher on the suspect tray. The other three match the tray drawing. The pocket itself holds the sleeve square relative to the tray, which fooled me from above.
Wrong part. Toolroom checked its shoulder against the specified button. Maintenance has replaced it and checked how the tray sits. Jo, the gripper contact identities also match, with no condition issue reported.
Have the accumulated pickup edits been reviewed against the restored tray? A level tray plus a correction for the leaning one could leave you with a fresh mystery.
Yes. Programmer has identified which corrections belonged to this tray problem. We are using the agreed restored setup for the full transfer comparison, not mixing it with the last compensated version.
Both identified trays now pass the supervised pickup, transfer and receiving checks with the retained sleeve examples. We also repeated an exchange between them. The tray service sheet now lists the actual button reference. Thanks, Farah, the rocking question was easy to explain to the learners.
Useful result. The tray wasn't unchanged after all; it just kept the same handle and pockets. That's a decent lesson without making anyone feel daft for missing the underside.
