Fairino FR5: The vacuum demo used a smoother carton than ours

Our planned batch of 12 involves Fairino FR5 handling a taped corrugated box during placing corrugated cartons into dispatch lanes in a dispatch packaging area. I'm reviewing the vacuum tooling because the supplier demonstrated it on a smooth sample, whereas our incoming packaging varies in seams, print and board surface. I'd like evidence covering those conditions before accepting the concept.

Begin with the proposed cup footprints overlaid on the permitted seam and print positions. Can you pair that drawing with labelled samples of your actual carton variations?

The cup sketch assumes a clear patch. Our packaging drawing lets a seam enter that patch, and the demo sample doesn't have it there.

Give the vacuum specialist the overlay and representative samples. One option for assessment is a revised footprint that avoids the permitted seam region.

@BrunoChen1148 Avoiding a seam won't answer leakage through the board. Your suggestion deals with the edge contact, not every surface difference the OP mentioned.

Correct, I narrowed it too far. Ask the specialist to distinguish through-board leakage from leakage at the contact edge across your samples.

We have several approved carton sources. Should I group the sample request by supplier or by surface finish to make the comparison useful?
