Cannot choose the cheap FR5 without knowing what inspected includes

I looked at a refurbished FR5 for moving our small aluminium blocks from a fixture into trays. The seller showed me a movement video and an inspected sticker. I nearly started arranging collection, then realised I still did not know what had been inspected or who would help us if it stopped. What would you ask before spending on a visit?

Ask for the inspection scope tied to that unit and a list of what comes with it. A collection trip is an expensive way to discover the pendant in the video belongs to the seller.

They sent a contents list with controller and pendant included. The inspection answer is still just checked by technician. I have asked for the actual report rather than another photo of the sticker.

Have an independent assessor review what they can supply before booking the visit, because missing service history may change what the visit can usefully establish.

Farah, agreed, though get the seller's permission for the proposed inspection first. We've paid for travel to find the permitted check was effectively watching the same video in person.

That would annoy me. Did you walk away?

Yes. They would not allow the inspection we had asked for, and the price did not justify another attempt. Doesn't tell you what your seller will allow; ask before arranging it.

Imran, has yours agreed to an assessor's scope yet, or is that still waiting with the report?
