I'm reviewing our bracket fixture records before a UR5e welding proposal. They mention adding a packer until the restrained assembly looks right, then failing inspection after release. How can I reconstruct what that adjustment actually changed?
Old bracket notes refer to an unrecorded packer

Do you know where the packer went? Under a fixture foot and against the workpiece are different changes. Without that, I'd leave its effect unknown rather than calculate a correction from the final angle

No location in the notes I have. That's what makes the word adjust so unhelpful. I'll ask for a marked sketch before trying to put a number on the change

Label a sketch from memory as such. It isn't suddenly an original setup record.

Fair point. I'll ask them to mark which details they remember and which they're unsure of. The sketch will stay beside the old note, not replace it

One thing before I ask for those sketches: would you ask people separately first? I don't want my guessed packer location becoming the answer because I drew it for them

Separate copies first. Keep conflicting recollections; don't merge them into one tidy drawing.
