Our FR5 sleeve-handling proposal has two pad samples on the bench. One leaves a clear contact line on the anodising; the softer one looks better, but the sleeve follows a finger slightly when released. I need a trial that covers the finish and the actual placement, not two different people declaring victory over different bits. Where would you start?
Get quality to judge the contact marks under the product's agreed viewing conditions, then have tooling show release into the real tray; a sleeve that sticks to a lovely soft pad is still a handling problem.
Quality has a permitted appearance sample we can use. The supplier's soft-pad test was on the bench without our tray, so I've asked for that release to be repeated in the actual receiving geometry.
Not the first pair, unfortunately. We have unhandled sleeves from the same supply now and quality will record their starting condition. Thank you for catching that.
Yes, they've agreed to label the samples and record the sequence. The combined trial is still pending. At least we are asking both pads to do the same job this time.
