Why is our FR10 carton trial avoiding the taped seam?

The FR10 vacuum sample has a smooth lid. Our printed cartons have a taped seam through the proposed contact area. I want the actual packaging variation assessed before the head is selected.

Ask which surfaces the cups are intended to contact on the production carton. The seam cannot be edited out of the trial because it is inconvenient.

Our packaging trials once used empty boxes to make sample handling easier. It also changed how the lids behaved. Send properly packed cartons as well as the surface details.

Elena, two proposed contacts cross the seam. Jack, supplier used an empty carton too. I've requested filled samples from our incoming batches, with the normal tape and print.

Include the person packing them. Any extra flattening or repositioning during the trial needs to be visible as work, not disappear into sample preparation.

On one handover, nobody had shown the second shift what to do when a pickup failed. Ask the tooling supplier to include detection and a defined recovery route in the proposed sequence.

Aisha, agreed, and the assessment needs the intended transfer and release. A carton held over a bench does not cover the whole job.

Nadia, did your packer object to the extra preparation or just need its time included?

Time and workload. The preparation overlapped other duties, so calling it a few seconds per box hid the practical problem. A different allocation might have worked, but ours was not free capacity.

Our packer says extra lid pressing would interrupt the sealing flow. That is in the request now, Nadia. We are not assuming a prepared demonstration carton represents her ordinary output.

Mei, will the supplier see cartons from the less tidy end of that ordinary output too? Those often get removed when someone assembles a demonstration set.

Yes. Representative acceptable cartons, not hand-picked flat lids. Damaged or incorrectly packed boxes are identified separately so we do not confuse ordinary variation with another fault.

That is a useful boundary. Has the supplier revised the cup arrangement, or is it still the same concept awaiting those samples?

And keep the filled samples identified through any revised trial. Otherwise the second video can quietly become a test of a different box again.
