Get the actual torch assembly and clamp cap into the offline model, including the fittings and cable routing space. A target on a seam is a useful beginning, but it doesn't show how the real tool enters that corner.

A line-shaped torch fits behind our bracket clamp

And how the clamp is serviced. We once had a layout where the robot could get to its work but maintenance couldn't remove the part that wore out. I mean access to the fixings, not just room to stand nearby.
17分Has the welding specialist specified the required torch orientations for those seams, or is the line merely aimed at each target?
10分Kai, merely aimed at targets. Our fabricator has not reviewed the proposed torch orientations yet. Theo, the clamp cap is replaceable and its fixings face that same corner.
2分That sounds like a useful joint review before another animation.
8分Kai's question changes the priority a bit. Put the required process orientations in the review with the geometry, otherwise a collision-free route could still present the torch wrongly for the intended work.
9分Would a different cap shape be worth considering if this one blocks the route? Only asking for an option on the drawing, not suggesting anyone shave material off the existing clamp.
21分Possibly, Theo, but the fixture designer must retain the required restraint and weld access; I would not make a smaller cap the assumed solution before the process review
9分The designer has offered an alternative cap for assessment, not manufacture. We are keeping both outlines in the review so the original problem stays visible.
15分Who owns the final combined model?
7分Useful question, Louis. Sam, I'd want the integrator's review to name the torch assembly and fixture revision supplied by each owner, rather than collecting screenshots that happen to have arrived together.
23分Integrator owns the combined model. Fabricator is supplying the process requirements and the fixture designer owns both cap options. No candidate has passed the review yet.
7分Thanks Sam, that answers the ownership bit. Keep the cap replacement task with those options too, since the alternative might clear the torch and still leave the same inaccessible screws.
16分Also include transitions between seams, not just separate successful poses; those are where a fuller torch assembly may change the route
13分Sam, will loading the bracket be part of the comparison?
21分Louis, it should be. The person loading the bracket needs to reach its intended seat without the reviewed fixture arrangement getting in the way; we shouldn't finish with a beautiful welding model and an unexplained loading job.
